QS - Qualitatssicherung

QS is one of the world’s biggest inspection systems for foodstuffs including every part of the food supply chain such as farming, processing, packing and marketing.  Created in 2001 for meat and meat products, it was expanded in 2004 to include fruit, vegetables and potatoes.

The QS scheme provides overall quality assurance based on approved and verifiable production standards.

Nowadays, nearly all of the biggest European retailors prefer to be served by suppliers able to deliver QS or/and GlobalG.A.P. certified food. QS certification allows extended trading through mutual recognition of standards and audits.

We have auditors available in many countries. Certification is organised from our German office, which guarantees a quick response to certification owners.

The QS system provides a 3-level inspection system:
  1. Self-assessment in accordance with QS guidelines.
  2. Independent inspection by PCU Deutschland GmbH and analyses by QS recognised laboratories.
  3. Random sample audits by PCU Deutschland GmbH, assigned and selected by QS.

Contact us by clicking the button on this page. If you are applying for the first time you will also have to register with the QS database before an initial audit. After the inspection, QS will send you system agreement, which must be completed before we can start your certification process.
