Control Union is adding QR codes to several of its Transaction Certificates (TCs) to improve the security of TCs and reduce paper. The addition of QR codes means both PDF and digital versions will be valid, meaning there is no longer a requirement for a personal signature to accompany a TC.
QR codes will be added to Transaction Certificates (TCs) for products certified to Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), the Organic Content Standard (OCS), the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), Content Claim Standard (CCS) and the Internationale Verband der Naturtextilwirtschaft e. V. (IVN).
Eligible clients will receive a digital TC, with a QR code on the document using any QR code scanner App users can scan the code either on screen or from a high-quality printout and will automatically be directed to a page on our website, where they can see the original issue of their TC. If all the information of original matches the information of the digital TC, you can then verify the authenticity and accuracy of that particular TC.
This new development complements the CONNECTED service provided by Control Union.
