WHAT TO EXPECT
During the meetings, experts will present on recent developments in the fashion and textile industry, fiber and material innovations, circular fashion and Life Cycle Analysis. Meetings will interactive, so it will be possible to discuss directly with both experts and other participants. It will be a meeting of CEO's and senior managers of like-minded companies from the textile industry and related sectors in an intimate, pre-competitive setting.

The Fashion Colloquia are made up of a core network of 4 institutions, connected by their residence and involvement in the four big 'Fashion Weeks' across the globe: London, Paris, Milan and New York. As result members of this core network will use the occurrence of the Fashion Weeks to organize a series of colloquia. With the aim of attracting a rich variety of contributions from a broad selection of people - from academia, media and practice - and utilise contributions for uploading to a newly established international repository for fashion to be housed at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. The upcoming Fashion Colloquium will be organised in Arnhem on 31 May and 1 June 2018 as part of State of Fashion. State of Fashion is a four-yearly fashion event dedicated to a sustainable future, based in Arnhem, the Netherlands. An international and interdisciplinary platform for ideas, experiment, research, and collaboration, State of Fashion brings together designers, companies, and educators in fashion and textiles with a shared aim of making their industry more forward-thinking, fairer and more ecologically sound. The first State of Fashion opens its doors on 1 June 2018 under the title state of fashion 2018 | searching for the new luxury.
